FanDuel Taking New Bettors, Offering Bonuses in Michigan
By Bryce Derouin

As Michigan nears its targeted November launch for online casino gaming and Michigan sports betting, sportsbooks are preparing their welcome bonuses for new members.

FanDuel recently posted its Michigan casino and sportsbook welcome bonus on Twitter, with the post saying, “We’re getting ready to bring legal, mobile sports betting and Michigan casino apps to the great state of Michigan very soon!”

FanDuel’s bonus comes with a pre-registration. Upon signing up, new users will be granted $100 worth of free bets in their accounts once FanDuel launches its app in Michigan.

In order to claim your bonus, new users can visit this link, then sign up and verify your identity. The bonus is available on Day 1 of the launch and includes $50 in free sports bets and $50 in free casino bets. There is no deposit bonus required to claim the bonus.

You must be at least 21 years old and present in Michigan in order to claim your Michigan casino bonuses.

FanDuel App Features

FanDuel stakes a claim as the No. 1 regulated online betting platform in the U.S. The company made its mark with daily fantasy before becoming a well-known sportsbook presence.

It guarantees to pay out winnings in as little as 24 hours and offers various promotions such as risk-free bets and odds boosts. FanDuel also allows bettors to make single-game parlays, where multiple bets can be combined from one matchup or team for an even larger payout. In addition to the sportsbook, the FanDuel app also has Michigan online slots and table games.

FanDuel’s presence in Michigan

Many in Michigan may already be familiar with the FanDuel brand. In March, MotorCity Casino and FanDuel officially reached an agreement for FanDuel to become the official brand of MotorCity’s sportsbook.

The two-story sportsbook features six betting windows, 67 HDTVs, one ticker, a VIP area and 54 self-service betting kiosks. The FanDuel Sportsbook takes bets on all major U.S. sports including, baseball, hockey, soccer, football, basketball, golf, boxing, motorsports racing and more.

“For two decades, we have been committed to reimagining the guest experience — consistently raising the bar with innovative entertainment, world-class luxury hotel accommodations and high energy gaming activities,” said Bruce Dall, president of MotorCity Casino, in a news release when the partnership was announced in March. “This relationship takes it to the next level. With FanDuel, our guests will be able to engage with their favorite sports in a dynamic new way at Detroit’s only locally-owned and operated casino.”
